| The glorious crown of our beautiful civilization! The Capitol of Panem is a technologically advanced, utopian city where the nation's wealthy and powerful reside. The Capitol is also the colloquial name for the ruling government of Panem. As the seat of power in Panem, the nation's twelve districts are ruled from this city, and The Hunger Games are organized and celebrated in it, and now the Capitol participates. Tributes from here typically win almost every time. It is also the only major city in Panem. It is located in the northwestern section of the former United States of America, seemingly west of the Rocky Mountains. The Rockies also act as a natural barrier and have served the Capitol well, allowing their air forces to bomb the rebels who attempted to invade the city in the Dark Days. The Capitol is known for its fashion and food. President's Mansion, The Reaping, Interviews, Training Center | 12 | 26 | Tue Jan 15, 2013 6:40 pm Clark Sanderson |

| District 1 makes the luxury goods that decorate and beautify our great Capitol. Its excellent taste and craftsmanship keep Capitol residents bewigged and bedazzled year-round. Its primary industry is manufacturing luxury items for the Capitol. These luxuries include diamonds and other other precious gems, and it seems that parents from District 1 name their children after precious items and their attributes, which may be a reflection on their "glamorous" nature. Children in District 1 almost always seem to take pride in competing in the Hunger Games. Homes, Justice Building, Victor's Village, Town Square, Factories, Tribute Training Gym | 0 | 0 | |

| Our nation would be nothing without District 2's superb stonework. It builds and fortifies our cities and its citizens are known individually for their strength. It's where most of the Peacekeepers are trained and weapons are manufactured, but originally specialized only in mining and stone cutting. Publicly it's presented as the nation's stone quarries, just as District 13 was known for graphite mining. After the first rebellion, District 2 was rewarded with better treatment and living conditions for their citizens because of its loyalty to the Capitol. It is in the Rocky Mountains, near the Capitol itself. The district is made up of many small villages, each one based around a mine. | Panem is one of the most advanced nations in mankind's history, thanks to the efforts of District 3. Its computers keep us all connected and its electronic gadgets keep us all entertained. District 3 is one of the 12 active districts in Panem. Its main industry is technology. They specialize in televisions and computers. Most of its inhabitants work in factories and are very well adept with engineering. The bread from this district is bite-sized square-shaped rolls. | Do you like seafood? Shrimp and crabmeat? Often overlooked, District 4 plays an essential role, bringing us the bounty of the sea. These citizens are adept with nets and tridents, and can swim like fish themselves. Its industry is fishing, which is useful for tributes in the Games as they have experience in using nets and tridents, making fishhooks from scratch, swimming, and identifying edible sea life. District 4 tends to produce Career Tributes, who volunteer to participate in The Hunger Games. This is also the case for Districts 1 and 2. These children are raised to win the Games, making them stronger and much more capable of winning than the average tribute. Their source of income is fishing. The bread is a salty, fish-shaped loaf, tinted green by seaweed. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Port, Beach | 0 | 0 | |

| Electric, solar, and nuclear - District 5 harnesses the energy of the earth and the sky in order to power our great nation. District 5 is one of the twelve districts of the country Panem. It's main industry is power and electricity. Therefore, this district is responsible for generating the power of the entire nation. | Our hovercraft, our high-speed trains, and our cargo trains come to us from District 6. Ironically, the citizens here have little love for travel. District 6 is one of the 12 active districts of Panem. This district's principal industry is transportation. It was heavily bombed by the Capitol's Air Forces during the Mockingjay Rebellion. Tributes from here have a disadvantage as they have no experience in weaponry, but in training, the tributes from here learn quickly in weaponry and they are very strong as they fight Careers. District 6 is the one of largest district in size, being several times larger than District 2 and District 11. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Factories | 0 | 0 | |

| This beautiful district is lush with trees, from which these citizens supply our lumber and paper. The people of District 7 are hardworking and down-to-earth. District 7 is one of the districts of Panem. District 7 provides lumber for the Capitol, and its people are known to be good with axes. District 7 is covered with large portions of forest and a dam nearby the district. District 7's tributes have learned to throw axes at an early age, making some of the tributes well trained. Like District 6, District 7 is the one of largest districts in size. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Forest, Lumber Mill | 0 | 0 | |

| From the simple, lovely fabrics of the districts to the brocades favored in the Capitol, District 8 makes it all. Its main industry is making textiles and clothing. Incomes in District 8 are standard, but most citizens put in a four hour shift in the various factories after their true occupations. Even students put in a shift after school; this is all due to the love and devotion the citizens have to the glory of the Capitol. It was an ugly urban place stinking of industrial fumes, the people housed in run down tenements, barely a blade of grass in sight. During the Mockingjay Rebellion, this place was bombed severely. Afterwards, in the Peace Time, it was rebuilt. It now has lush emerald grasses, small cottages with working appliances, and the air is generally smog free. Indeed, an improvement from before the Mockingjay Rebellion. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Factories | 0 | 0 | |

| District 9 is Panem's bread bowl, giving us the fertile harvest we need to keep rising as a nation. Its amber waves of grain are an inspiration to us all. It is responsible for grain. District 9 has many factories, mostly for grain processing. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Fields | 0 | 0 | |

| The gentle lowing of cattle is the first thing a visitor to District 10 hears. This region raises strong, healthy livestock, which becomes the meat that helps us raise strong, healthy children of Panem. Its main industry is livestock, and provide beef for the Capitol. Since they are in charge of livestock, District 10 has a lot of farms. These can range anywhere in size, and it is a fairly large district. The people here are healthy and happy, as in the previous 9 Districts, with warm homes and fresh foods. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Fields, Slaughter House | 0 | 0 | |

| Known for its bountiful orchards, District 11's workers spend their days among rustling fruit trees and sizeable farms. Their industry is agriculture; orchards, fields of wheat, and cotton surround the district. In the Games, occupational skills that are useful in the arena, such as Rue, who could leap between trees, are very very useful. Others, like Thresh, have strength because of physical labor, and the ability of both to recognize edible plants. After the Mockingjay Rebellion, peace came to these people and their starvation and misery was ended. The signature bread from this district is a dark, crescent-shaped roll dotted with seeds. There are many tracker jacker nests in District 11, causing workers to keep medical leaves on hand. In the orchards small children are sent to high branches to pick the highest fruits. They have long hours: from sunrise to sunset, the people work the fields to send food off to the Capitol. District 11 is many times larger than District 12. The citizens of District 11 live in small cottages, with blankets and food and lice-free beds. The people of this district are described as having "dark hair and dark skin". They live in what used to be known as Atlanta, Georgia. Justice Building, Town Square, Homes, Victor's Village, Fields, Orchards | 0 | 0 | |

| One of the outer districts, this is nonetheless a crucial one. These intelligent and faithful workers research and study possibilities for cures that keeps our nation running. Located in the Appalachia and with a population of around 24,000 people, District 12's main industry was coal mining, now medicine instead of producing coal, due to the mines being closed. After the Mockingjay Rebellion, a pharmaceutical factory was constructed, and District 12 began to rebuild. The filled-in mass grave is now the meadow. This is a District whose citizens often travel to the Capitol, usually to be awarded for some advance in medical research. These people are not excused from the Hunger Games, but the tributes produced from District 12 are indeed Careers, with their extensive knowledge of medicine and the fact that there are many training gyms within. | Everything that used to operate here is gone now, and District 13's nuclear weaponry taken. After the Mockingjay Rebellion, no one saw the need for nuclear weaponry. No one resides in District 13, but the wildlife and plants of the area are steadily coming back, the radiation there going away but not enough for there to be life. Ruins | 0 | 0 | |
